This Les Paul was my first Les Paul conversion. It started as a standard Les Paul studio. Here are some excerpts from the ebay auction it sold on.
Your Next guitar can be 25 guitars in one.
Variax® is the one guitar that is a complete collection of guitars. No more dragging around multiple acoustics and electrics to gigs or recording studios. Variax gives you an endless variety of sounds from classic acoustic and electric tones all the way to sitar and banjo, all in one instrument. Every note comes out crystal clear without any unwanted pickup noise. Sweetwater Review: http://www.sweetwater.com/feature/technotes/issue16-variax/index.php
Variax is the only guitar that allows you to plug into a computer and customize your tone or apply alternate tunings to any of the 25 presets. Line 6's exclusive Variax Workbench software lets you fine-tune all the details of each tone, or change your tuning to Open G, DADGAD, D-MODAL, Drop-D, or any tuning you can imagine, without ever needing a tuner.
For greater control, Variax integrates seamlessly with POD® XT Live and Vetta™ II - not only powering the guitar but also letting you control the entire signal chain right at your feet.
I highly recommend the Pod X3 live because you can completely separate the inputs and the outputs.
I like to use both the digital output for the Variax and the ¼ inch jack for the Fralin Pickups. I tested the guitar with the Pod X3 and my 2 M-Audio
BX8A Near field monitors. They are powered 130 watt speakers.
The stereo field was excellent sounding like 2 separate guitars.
The guitar is set up with .009 strings. The hybrid version with the heavier low end strings.
The intonation is perfect as is the action. The neck is perfectly straight.
I have leveled and polished the frets. The neck feels excellent.
The tuners are Grover locking tuners with an 18:1 ratio. Even with brand new strings it stays in tune.
The bridge (Graph Tech Tone Pros) has a little stronger signal than the standard Variax causing the output to be slightly warmer than the standard Variax.
The guitar also comes with a Gibson Hard shell case. I purchased that separately for $140.00
Rough breakdown in costs not including my labor:

Not much more can be said about this guitar.
I will warrantee everything to work. If anything does not work ship it back to me and I will repair it. Because the Variax electronics are used, I guarantee it to work when you receive it but since there is no factory warrantee on the electronics we all take a slight risk in buying any used instrument. As I said I have tested the guitar and it will come to you in perfect working condition. Insurance is required for shipping and any shipping damage will be taken care of that way but if 3 months down the road the Variax stops working there is no warrantee for that. If you purchase another Variax for the electronics I will install them no charge. You just pay the shipping. That is as fair as anyone can get for used electronics on eBay.
But have hope. These Variax electronics are practically bullet proof. I have or have had 27 of these guitars and all have worked or are working just fine.
The guitar will come with a line 6 power supply just the way I bought it. I also have a line 6 Variax manual which I will include but I only have one Variax cable as they do NOT come with the guitar. At least I never received one with a used Variax I bought. You can purchase them on eBay Variax Cable.
The case I am including is like new as well. You will really enjoy this guitar.
I hope I have covered everything but if not please email me with questions.
